By

DENVER, CO, NOVEMBER 30, 2022 –Revelstoke Capital Partners (“Revelstoke”), a Denver-based private equity firm, announced that it has become a signatory of the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (“PRI”).  The PRI is recognized as the leading global network for investors who are committed to integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations into their investment practices and ownership policies.

The PRI’s network of international investors works together to implement a set of voluntary principles that provide a framework for integrating ESG factors into investment analysis and ownership practices aligned with investors’ fiduciary duties.

The six key principles are:

  • We will incorporate ESG issues into investment analysis and decision-making processes.
  • We will be active owners and incorporate ESG issues into our ownership policies and practices.
  • We will seek appropriate disclosure on ESG issues by the entities in which we invest.
  • We will promote acceptance and implementation of the principles within the investment industry.
  • We will work together to enhance our effectiveness in implementing the principles.
  • We will each report on our activities and progress towards implementing the principles.

“We are proud to join the ranks of the thousands of signatories to the PRI in their commitment to integrating ESG factors into the investment process,” said Simon Bachleda, Revelstoke’s Co-Founder and Managing Partner.  “Becoming a signatory of PRI reinforces our commitment to fully accept that responsibility and it is also the right thing to do as an engaged investor.”

As a private equity firm, their commitment to the principles of responsible investing demonstrates the interest of the sector in playing a critical role in resolving environmental, social and governance challenges.
